Terms of use

Hello and welcome programmer! Thank you for visiting Codeguage! Codeguage ("Site") is a platform built to help you gain practical computer science and programming skills by means of quick, mini courses. I sincerely try to make the platform's experience as intuitive, simple, and smooth for you as I could. Equally, I expect you to abide by certain guidelines while using this Site as outlined in this document.

By using this Site, you agree that you are totally in acceptance with the terms. If you aren't comfortable with them, please consider not using this Site.

Copyright

The logo, design, graphics, files, text, information, code examples — collectively referred to as "Content" — except where stated otherwise, are the sole property of Codeguage. Misusing them in any way as outlined below will constitute violation of copyright.

The following points include cases where the user's actions would constitute infringement of coypright laws protecting this Site:

  • Copying the Content from this Site (in any quantity) without crediting it.
  • Using the Content for commercial purposes (that is, you aren't allowed to indulge in reselling, redistributing, or repurposing the Content for any type of business or profit-making activity).

Fair use

Fair use refers to the exception cases where the user's actions do not constitute copyright infringement. It includes:

  • Referring to the Content of this Site by giving credit to it. Credit can be given by providing a link to the underlying content page.
  • Using the Content for non-commercial purposes and classroom teaching, with proper credits given to the Site.

Subscriptions

This Site offers subscription-based access to premium content. When you sign up for a subscription, you agree to the following:

  • Billing cycle: You will be billed either on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the plan you choose. Payment is charged at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Auto-renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew (i.e. its payment will be made automatically) at the end of the current billing cycle, unless you cancel it. You can easily cancel your subscription on the Subscription page in your dashboard.
  • Cancelations: You may cancel your subscription at any time by going to the Subscription page in your dashboard. If you cancel, you will retain access to the premium features of the Site until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Switch plan: You can easily switch your subscription plan (monthly to yearly, or vice versa) at any time by going to the Subscription page in your dashboard and clicking on 'Change plan' under your subscription details. The new plan will take effect immediately, and your billing will adjust accordingly.

Note that Codeguage reserves the right to revise the subscription pricing at any time. Any changes will apply to future billing cycles and be communicated to you via a notice on the Site at least 14 days before they are due to take effect. You may cancel the subscription if you do not consent to the revised pricing.

Refunds

Both the monthly and yearly subscription plans are non-refundable. In place of refunds, though, you get to avail a 7-day free trial to determine whether the product works for you or not. See the Free trials section below for more details.

Free trials

Codeguage offers a 7-day free trial for new users so that they can easily test the product before committing to paying for it. The trial period grants you full access to all premium features. You are required to provide a valid payment method to start the trial, but you will not be charged during the trial period.

If you do not cancel before the 7-day trial ends, your subscription auto-renews (a into paid subscription), and your payment method gets charged the respective subscription fee (at the end of the trial period). Because the free trial serves as your full evaluation period, no refunds will be issued for charges resulting from auto-renewal.

Eligibility

Free trials are available only to new users who have not previously held a paid subscription. Codeguage reserves the right to determine free trial eligibility and to limit or revoke trial access in cases of abuse.

Warranty disclaimer

While I work hard to deliver a top-notch experience to you, it's imperative to note that I don't provide any guarantees related to the Content.

All of it is provided on an 'as-is' basis. It can contain typos and errors, and is not claimed to be up to date with latest standards. Code examples might contain wrong syntax and are thereby disclaimed to be 100% correct.

Also, while I definitely aim to keep the Site running smoothly, there may be times when it's unavailable due to maintenance or other unforeseen issues. Your use of this Site is not guaranteed to be free of any sort of interruptions.
